Job summary
As a Loan Origination Associate I in Commercial Real Estate Lending, you will help drive the loan lifecycle by coordinating documentation and supporting transaction closings.
You will work closely with internal partners and external parties to gather required items, manage expectations, and keep deals on track.
You will apply strong judgment and attention to detail when reviewing documents and ensuring conditions are met.
You will contribute to a team culture that values collaboration, continuous improvement, and a high-quality client experience.
Job responsibilities
* Collaborate with sales, relationship managers, and underwriters to support commercial real estate loan documentation and closing activities
* Engage with clients, outside counsel, and operations teams to collect required closing items and manage timelines and expectations
* Prepare and distribute documentation packages, confirming alignment to required credit and asset conditions
* Review loan documentation and booking systems using strong attention to detail and sound judgment
* Track progress, identify issues early, and escalate risks appropriately to keep transactions moving forward
* Contribute to projects that improve processes and procedures across the closing workflow
* Support more junior team members with loan closing transactions as needed
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial real estate loan origination and closing, or a closely related field
* Demonstrated ability to manage and resolve issues through collaborative problem solving and effective stakeholder management
* Strong critical thinking skills to evaluate documentation, requirements, and transaction details
* Strong organization and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines simultaneously
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
* Experience in a financial services environment
* Experience using artificial intelligence and machine learning tools or solutions to improve process quality, efficiency, or decision making
* Strong listening skills and emotional intelligence, with an ability to build productive working relationships across teams
