Koch Fertilizer Wever, LLC is looking for a 2027 Summer Project Engineering Intern to join our Engineering team in Wever, Iowa.
The internship opportunity will be a 12-week program running from late May to mid-August 2027.

What You Will Do
* Take on projects that are representative of the work our full-time project engineers do, gaining hands-on experience supporting capital and operational improvement projects.
* Review and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation, including Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), specifications, and equipment layouts.
* Support project planning, cost estimating, scheduling, and execution activities while partnering with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams.
* Assist with the design, evaluation, and implementation of projects that improve safety, reliability, and operational performance.
* Manage individual project assignments and contribute to larger capital projects from concept through execution.
* Collaborate with experienced professionals to develop solutions, overcome challenges, and create value for the business
Physical Requirements
* Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
* Bending, kneeling, lifting up to 50 pounds.
* Ability to climb straight ladders.
Some work may require heights in excess of 100 feet.
* Wearing industrial chemical plant uniforms and PPE as required.
* Confined space entry may be required.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
* Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, such as Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, Chemical, or another related field
* Eligible for full-time employment before or by May 2029
* Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship
* Willing and able to meet all physical requirements
What Will Put You Ahead
* Previous internship, co-op, research, or project experience in manufacturing, engineering, construction, or industrial operations.
* Experience in project management, capital projects, construction, reliability, or process improvement initiatives.
