Electrical and Instrumentation Technician

INVISTA is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Technician to join our maintenance team at our Camden, South Carolina facility.
In this role, you will help improve the reliability, availability, and performance of manufacturing equipment that supports our production operations.
You'll have the opportunity to work across a diverse mix of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems while continuing to expand your technical capabilities in a collaborative manufacturing environment.
Our Team
The Camden Maintenance Team is responsible for safely maintaining and improving the reliability of equipment that supports our manufacturing operations.
As an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician, you will work alongside maintenance technicians, operators, engineers, reliability specialists, and other site partners to solve problems, improve equipment performance, and support continuous improvement efforts across the facility.
Work schedule:
* 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday.
* The schedule may be modified based on production or equipment needs.
* Occasional overtime and call-ins should be expected for equipment emergencies.
What You Will Do
* Troubleshoot, repair and maintain low- and medium-voltage electrical equipment, including 15kV and 480-volt switchgear, transformers, breakers, motor control centers, AC/DC motors, drives, lighting and power circuits.
* Install, calibrate and maintain 4-20 mA and 0-10 VDC process-loop instruments; diagnose loops end to end across sensors, transmitters, signal paths, controllers and final control elements.
* Navigate Honeywell distributed control systems to trace signals, check input/output, review alarms and support field and console troubleshooting.
* Read programmable logic controller ladder logic, follow input/output and make controlled, documented changes under the site's management-of-change process.
* Diagnose motor and variable frequency drive faults, including setup, parameter configuration and failure analysis; terminate, test and repair field wiring, conduit and cable in classified and hazardous locations.
* Support loop tuning, instrument configuration, control-system upgrades, migrations and new installations in partnership with process engineering and other site teams.
* Use reliability tools and SAP to document work-order feedback, identify parts and research equipment history while performing all electrical work in accordance with NFPA 70E requirements.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
* One of the following:
* Five or more years of experience in an electrical or instrumentation role at an industrial facility or in a related military field.
* An Associate degree or higher in a related electrical or instrumentation field.
* Journeyman-level Electrical trade certification
