Position Overview

This is a skilled position requiring the individual to perform maintenance and repair of all company equipment, and assigned duties.

This position will be primarily a lube technician position.

During the slow season the tech will be required to work in the shop performing maintenance on trucks and equipment.

*This position requires working a combination of day and swing shifts, including weekends, travel, and frequent work outside of normal business hours.

Wage Range: $25 to $30 per hour, dependent upon experience

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)



* Primary responsibility will be performing preventative maintenance services on trucks and equipment.


* Operates and inspects machines or equipment to diagnose defects.


* Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists and hand tools.


* Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.


* Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.


* Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.


* Repairs or replaces defective parts.


* Services equipment as necessary.


* Lubricates and cleans parts.


* Taking oil samples and keeping good records on equipment.


* Inspects welds, broken parts and structural members.


* Must be able to function in the role with minimal interaction or supervision much of the time.


* Must be able to work in PM programs such as Hexagon.


* Must be able to work in Timecard programs such as Workforce.


* Must be self-motivated


* Must be able to inspect and identify vehicles for DOT violations.


* Other duties as assigned per supervisor.

Education and/or Experience



* High school diploma or general education degree (GED).


* One to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations



* Class B CDL is required
+ Air brakes, manual transmission endorsements preferred
+ DOT Medical Card
