Job Title: Pharmacist

Immediate Supervisor Title: Pharmacist In Charge or Chief Operating Officer
Job Supervisory Responsibilities: Pharmacy Staff
Essential Job Responsibilities:
1.
Comply with all applicable company policies and procedures
2.
Service and satisfy customers’ health care needs in and out of the pharmacy area
3.
Maintain professional rapport with ordering physicians
4.
Process prescriptions in a timely and accurate manner
5.
Coordinate/implement the training and development of pharmacy technicians, intern, and other pharmacists
6.
Provide counseling and guidance to staff as needed
7.
Perform annual pharmacy employee evaluations
8.
Maintain inventory levels
9.
Participate in store operational meetings
10.
Pull outdated, damaged and recalled merchandise and prepare for return
11.
Maintain daily and weekly reports
12.
Ensure compliance with all Federal and State laws, rules and regulations
13.
Perform other duties as assigned
Education: Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy
Experience: One year Pharmacist experience preferred.
Other Requirements: BSPh License and hold a current Ohio Pharmacist License
Performance Requirements:
Knowledge:
1.
Knowledge of organization services available to customers.
2.
Knowledge of product location within the store to be able to direct customers.
3.
Knowledge of phone system, especially calls for refills and new prescriptions.
Skills:
1.
Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills.
2.
Ability to learn the proper use of mechanical equipment utilized in this position.
3.
Ability to talk with other healthcare professionals in a professional, businesslike manner.
Abilities:
1.
To handle stressful situations in a professional manner.
2.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment for extended periods of time.
3.
Ability to adapt to change.
4.
Ability to meet continuing education requirements.
5.
Ability to occasionally lift/move items up to 75pounds.
Equipment Operated: Pill counting machines, computers, standard retail machines to include POS system, telephones, copy machines, fax machines.
Work Environment: This position is in a fast paced, retail pharmacy environment.
Also entails evening and weekend work.
Mental/Physical Requirements: Involves standing and walking 90% of the time.
