Canal Barge LLC Shore Tankerman are our internal experts in the transfer of liquid cargos.
Qualified candidates must be safety conscious and able to work in a physically demanding environment.
Shore Tankerman must be on-call and be able to travel independently.
All applicants must have favorable work references and a valid driver's license and must pass a pre-employment physical examination and drug screen.
Tankermen must hold a U.S.
Merchant Mariner's endorsement as a PIC/DL, and must possess a current, valid TWIC

Primary Job Duties
* Conduct transfers of liquid cargos
* Follow all safety, environmental, and barge processes to conduct incident-free transfers
* Conduct inspections of barges prior to conducting transfers
* Perform minor maintenance and repair of barges and pumps as necessary
* Inspect all safety and transfer equipment
* Perform liaison role with customer dock personnel
* Serve as first-line emergency responders
* Physical requirements of the job include climbing ladders and stairs, repetitive bending and stooping, lifting heavy marine equipment, and lifting objects from various levels ranging from 10-100 pounds

Assists with maintenance of a clean and sanitary facility by following a comprehensive cleaning program, which includes but is not limited to: regularly cleaning and sanitizing furnishings, fixtures, floors; cleaning of walls, windows, doors, ceilings, entrances, exits, horizontal surfaces, curtains, drapes, and privacy curtains; washing and disposal of waste and trash; spot cleaning and disinfection as needed.

Cleans movable and stationary furnishings and fixtures.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:regular dusting, spot cleaning, washing, disinfecting, sanitizing and polishing; changing slip covers, scarves, doilies, cleaning ledges, shelves, and vents; empties, cleans, and relines waste baskets; straightens or re-arranges furniture, as directed.
3.
Maintains clean, stocked public and private bathrooms by regularly washing and disinfecting all fixtures, floors, walls, windows and mirrors.
Replenishes bathroom supplies.
4.
Conducts emergency cleaning per procedures.
Responsibilities include timely and proper handling and cleaning of spills, slick surfaces, broken furniture or other matters possibly affecting the safety of residents, employees, and/or visitors.
5.
Performs terminal cleaning duties, as directed.
Prepares room for new resident.
6.
Assist with addressing and properly reporting environmental services matters to supervisor/designee.
Responsibilities include: reporting observations concerning safety issues, structural and equipment wear, defects and malfunctioning equipment, supply and equipment needs.
In an emergency, carries out responsibilities to assure resident and employee safety.
7.
Maintains equipment and cleaning materials in performing responsibilities.
This includes proper use of equipment, cleaning agents, and maintaining adequate knowledge of location and use of special and emergency equipment.
