Scope of Responsibility: This position is responsible for operating a forklift, overhead cranes, and other equipment for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stocking, and counting materials in accordance to production standards.
Essential Duties: Assists machine operators, welders, and other personnel in loading/unloading, transporting raw, in-process, and finished materials throughout the facility.Uses forklifts and other heavy equipment such as cranes to safely and effectively move various sizes of steel plates and poles.Stages all stock and manufactured steel plate to production.
Moves in-process and finished poles to appropriate areas.
Abides by all Safety Standards and Policies including the use of all personal protective equipment (PPE).Performs routine safety inspections prior to operating equipment.Contributes to a safe working environment by being responsible for quality, safety, organization, and cleanliness in your area of operation.Contributes to team effort by communicating and working well with others, as well as accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Position Requirements: Education: High school diploma or equivalent, or any combination of education and experience Experience: Forklift driving or crane/heavy equipment experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
