2027 Summer Intern- Desktop Support Intern (Onsite, Bloomington MN)

This is an ONSITE internship located in Bloomington, MN-you must live within daily commutable distance.

You will help resolve helpdesk support requests from employees all across the business.

Additionally, the selected intern will gain knowledge of general business principles, corporate organizational structure and government process improvement.

Throughout the summer, you will have the opportunity to meet, interact, and collaborate among various project teams, consultants, senior management, executives and peers.

Guidance and training on operations standards and protocols will be provided by the Manager.

Hourly pay range is competitive and commensurate with education and experience.

All computer equipment and access to digital systems will be provided to the hired candidate.

Students may also complete the internship for academic credit, subject to the qualifications of their academic program.

PROGRAM DETAILS:

This position requires a commitment of 40 full-time hours per week, with availability during usual business hours (8AM-6PM ET), for the duration of the summer program: starting Tuesday, June 1st and ending Friday, August 13th, 2027

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Promote a high level of customer satisfaction through proper telephone, email, and chat techniques, and respond with the appropriate amount of urgency to user.
- Provide support for Windows OS and troubleshoot issues including running in-depth diagnostics.
- Perform PC builds including the use of image deployment software to perform imaging tasks.
- Document, track, and monitor problems within the ticketing system to ensure timely resolution.
- Identify, research, and resolve technical problems.
- Provide hardware support of PCs and laptops including installing replacement hardware or upgrading hardware.
- Install, configure, maintain, and support computers, printers, fax machines, scanners, other peripherals and related hardware, as well as remote access devices.
- Assist in maintaining software and workstation image management including the use of image deployment software to perform imaging tasks for PC build requests.

- High school diploma or GED required and 0-2 years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
