Position Overview:

Use your background/education in procurement, industrial distribution or supply chain management and begin your career with Bray International, an industry leading manufacturer of valves and control products.

In this role, you will support inventory replenishment, special order purchases, open order management, expediting, product and process cost reduction efforts and transportation optimization.

Key Responsibilities:


* Process purchase orders and requisitions for stock replenishment and special-order procurement requirements.


* Manage open orders to ensure timely delivery by suppliers.


* Manage vendor performance by use of supplier evaluation tool(s).


* Work with internal customers to ensure proper supply chain flow of procured products.


* Search for and implement cost saving alternatives.

Seek, implement and maintain cost saving alternatives.


* Enforce and maintain organizational principles of integrity and compliance.


* Meet and exceed defined performance goals.


* Schedule, plan, expedite, and revise sales orders as necessary.


* Schedule sales orders, expedite deliveries, coordinate change orders, provide status updates to sales personnel.


* Review slow moving and excess inventory to determine ways to substitute and/or reconfigure into usable inventory.


* Exposure to and experience working within a manufacturing or high-volume industrial distribution environment.


* Gain product knowledge and begin learning more advanced purchasing concepts, practices and procedures.
