Sr, GL Accountant

The Position


* This position will provide financial accounting, reporting and analysis support to the corporate division as well as all other divisions within the company.

Qualifications


* Minimum of 2-5 years related experience (preferably in a publicly held company).


* 2-5 years progressive experience in financial / general ledger accounting and reporting.


* Strong cost and inventory accounting experience.


* Prior public accounting experience preferred.


* Knowledge of current Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), public accounting experience a plus, knowledge of Progress/MXP/HP5000 and Hyperion Essbase software a plus.


* A track record of making procedural and efficiency improvements.


* Advanced knowledge of Excel and the ability to work comfortably with other programs in Microsoft Office.


* Excellent oral and written communication skills.


* Excellent collaborative skills to work closely with other departments as well as external auditors.


* Solid organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks, priorities and deadlines.


* A customer focus and a positive, can do attitude.


* Enthusiasm and a drive to learn our business and grow with the company Attention to detail Strong research and analytical skills in researching account reconciliation differences.


* Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to understand the impact of operations on our financial results.

Education


* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.


* CPA or CPA Candidate B.S.
