Surveyor II

Ardurra is seeking a Surveyor II to join our team in our Cape Coral, Florida survey office.

Primary Function:

Prepares survey drawings based on field surveys and provides general supervision to Survey Technician staff with technical support involving multiple office software, computer skills, record keeping, and general inquiries.

Candidate will exercise excellent organizational and customer service skills.

Surveyors oversee weekly work assignments for assigned technical staff to complete assignments of varying scope which require the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of survey related tasks.

This will typically include experience in utilizing various computer software packages and automated surveying tools to perform survey calculations.

 

Primary Duties


* Provides support for Survey Technician staff


* Provide technical duties such as CAD drafting, preparing draft and final Word documents, generating reports, scanning, and filing


* Review field notes from field survey, reduce and rectify raw data, and process field data


* Provide in-office support to the department


* Perform data entry, sort, and CAD drafting


* Proficient with Ardurra’s standard CAD template


* Helps train and orient new staff with Ardurra’s drafting and CAD standards


* Assist in other general technical support as needed


* Input and analyze data from field survey work into AutoCAD/Civil3D or other database and drafting or data processing systems


* Read and analyze legal descriptions from deeds and other records


* Plot parcel lines based on metes and bounds descriptions, plats, and surveys


* Prepare legal descriptions in Word.doc format


* Prepare Sketch and Legal Descriptions


* Assist with right-of-way, deed, or other records research


* Collaborate with Surveyors, Engineers, and Technicians as assigned or needed


* Participates in project meetings and recurring project status meetings


* Reviews draft survey drawings in preparation for final review by Project Manager


* Accompanies Project Manager and other senior survey staff to meet with clients and review agencies for purpose of understanding duties and responsibilities of Professional Surveyors
