Payroll/HR Specialist

Tribe 9 Foods is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll / HR Specialistto join our team.

This role is primarily responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll while supporting a variety of Human Resources functions.

The ideal candidate will have strong payroll experience, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

This position works closely with employees, managers, and various departments to ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and efficient HR operations.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; occasional weekend work and overtime may be required.

1st Shift: 8 am - 4 pm, flexible start times.

Key Responsibilities: Payroll Administration (Primary Responsibility) Process bi-weekly payroll for employees and weekly payroll for temporary staff.Review payroll data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.Process wage garnishments, child support orders, and other payroll deductions.Audit benefit invoices and reconcile payroll-related deductions.Process payroll-related general ledger entries.Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.

Human Resources Support Maintain employee records and personnel files.Process employment verification requests.Assist with onboarding and employee documentation.Coordinate HR projects, meetings, training sessions, and employee surveys.Prepare reports and provide HR-related data to management.Respond to employee questions regarding policies, procedures, and benefits.Partner with the Health & Safety team on departmental initiatives.Assist with compliance and recordkeeping requirements.Perform other duties as assigned.
