Your tasks and responsibilities:



* You will be responsible for the technical and disciplinary leadership of an interdisciplinary team within X-ray Products R&D, consisting of employees from the areas of physics, image processing, data science, and artificial intelligence.


* Together with your team, you will play a key role in driving research and development in the field of autonomous systems for medical imaging.


* You will lead technology and innovation projects, guiding them from ideation through to implementation into product development.


* In addition, you and your team will support the entire development lifecycle, accompany market launches, and share responsibility for collaborating with customers and partners.


* You will work closely with other development departments, product management, and collaboration management teams.


* You will foster an open and inclusive culture of collaboration, innovation, scientific exchange with customers and partners, and technical excellence within the team.


* Leveraging your own expertise, you will contribute scientific publications and presentations that strengthen our company's visibility and position at international conferences.


* You will actively contribute to expanding our patent portfolio by identifying innovative ideas, further developing them, and driving them through the patent application process.

Your qualifications and experience:



* You hold a university degree in Medical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field, followed by a PhD.


* You bring many years of relevant professional experience in the (pre-) development of medical devices and possess solid expertise in data science and artificial intelligence.


* You have several years of experience as a team leader or project manager with people management responsibility.


* You also have experience collaborating with international clinical and technical partners.


* You are highly familiar with scientific methodologies and have demonstrated this through an active expert career in an industrial environment.
