Your Role: Advisor, R&D Portfolio Management

As Advisor, R&D Portfolio Management, you will serve as a key catalyst of the transformation journey within Elanco’s Global R&D organization, playing a pivotal role in shaping Elanco’s pipeline and portfolio decisions.

In this dual-function role, you will modernize how Elanco manages its R&D portfolio by enhancing systems and processes—transitioning static reporting toward live, insight-guided evaluations—while partnering across the innovation community to bridge project execution with executive governance.

Your Responsibilities:


* Portfolio Management Transformation (50%): Continuously identify opportunities to enhance portfolio management processes, tools, and evaluation capabilities; champion the journey toward a single source of truth within the PPM ecosystem; guide the design and implementation of PPM data improvements in partnership with R&D and IT; and support the rollout of a PPM Intelligence solution that connects foundational data with real-time proactive insights and AI capabilities.


* Strategic Liaison (20%): Serve as an embedded strategic partner with the SPMO and Strategic Portfolio Leads, translating portfolio-level strategic intent into actionable project priorities while ensuring project milestone shifts, resource constraints, and risk changes are rapidly reflected in valuation and prioritization models to bridge project execution with executive governance.


* Portfolio Strategy (10%): Synthesize diverse inputs from Corporate Strategy, Innovation Strategy, and R&D into a holistic view of portfolio opportunities; ideate, develop, and implement evaluation frameworks to assess R&D pipelines and recommend optimal resource allocations aligned with corporate strategic goals.
