Cultivation Manager
JOB SUMMARY The Cultivation Manager is responsible for successful cultivation activities from seed/clone through harvest, following company policies and procedures and in compliance with state regulations PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES Responsible for the grow operations, including developing a detailed plan and timeline for plant production from seed/clone to harvestInitiates and manages a harvest schedule to consistently meet the demands of the businessAssist in creating cultivation staffing schedules based on projected labor demandSupport the employee review process for cultivation personnelTracks consumable inventory levels and ensures that adequate supplies are available in reasonable quantitiesEnsures that the growing environment is clean, properly always equipped and in good working orderProduces a product that meets all lab testing requirements at targeted yield levels with the expected amounts of active pharmaceutical ingredientsClearly sets out a vision for success and educates cultivation members on how their actions and accomplishments contribute to the overall success of the companyEstablishes and enforces standards of accountability for cultivation staffCompletes regularly scheduled quality assessment of plants for signs of pests/disease Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000 Other Responsibilities Ensure staff is trained and follows appropriate SOP'sEnsure that all requisite information is maintained in the state required system and site records are up to dateCoach and develop the Cultivation Technicians, provide constant developmental feedback Minimum Job Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Botany, Horticulture, Agricultural Engineering, or related field5+ years' experience in a large-scale commercial growing operation in a greenhouse environment, with 2+ years at the management level operationsExperience in multi-tiered growing environments.Experience with growing data acquisitionExperience designing nutrient mixesKnows automated environmental control systemsAdvanced understanding of horticulture practices including cloning plantsAbility to identify and remedy plant disease statesCan identify and remedy suboptimal nutrient statesDetailed knowledge of indoor hydroponic cultivation practices, life cycle of cannabis, common pests of cannabis and complianceMust be 21 years or older and pass all required pre-employment screeningsFull knowledge of all applicable laws, regulations, and requirements to always keep the facility at 100% compliance, this includes being up to date on any changes to current applicable laws/regulationsMust be and remain compliant with all regulatory requirements for working in the cannabis industryMust be able to obtain and retain a Registered Agent Card issued by the state of operationMust have excellent organization and time management skillsMust be focused, pay close attention to detailMust be able to internalize training and follow instructionsMust be able to communicate clearly and effectively Preferred Job Requiremen...
