Fitness Center Fitness Team Leader
Position: Fitness Center Lead Fitness Team Leader Supervisor: Fitness Director Division: Health Services Administration Department: Fitness Center Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Fitness Director, the Fitness Center Lead/Fitness Team Leader supervises fitness classes, programs, instructors, and trainers.
This position ensures compliance with KTTT Fitness Center policies, safety standards, and applicable health regulations; provides fitness instruction and coaching; and assists the Fitness Director with daily operations and programming.
Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following: An individual must be able to successfully perform each the essential functions of this position listed below with or without reasonable accommodation.
Aid patrons in daily operation of equipment and answer questions concerning operation of equipment.
Assist in development of division health and wellness programs.
Assist in the developing and implantation of fitness policies, procedures and standards that adhere to health and safety regulations and industry best practices.
Assist the Fitness Center Director with any duties assigned by the director.
Conduct body composition analysis for patrons.
Conduct fitness workshops as needed Conduct group exercise classes.
Develop safe professional comprehensive personal training programs.
Document and report all accidents and incidents in the fitness room.
Document and report all equipment malfunctions and safety hazards to Fitness Director.
Ensure center rules, safety standards, and sanitation requirements are followed.
Assists in implementation of Emergency Action Plan.
Ensure clients are using professional comprehensive personal training programs.
Instruct patrons in the proper use of exercise machines and cardiovascular equipment; perform group exercises (aerobic and nonaerobic).
Perform routine daily maintenance tasks such as cleaning equipment and minor repairs on equipment.
Plan and schedule fitness classes, workshops and events.
Responsible to open/close the facility when scheduled.
Responsible to sign documents during absence of director.
Schedule orientations for patrons.
Train and supervise fitness instructors, trainers and other staff.
Work with all age groups and populations Perform such other tasks as may be assigned from time to time by Fitness Director.
Assist the Fitness Center Director with timesheets when the Director is unable.
