Middle and High School Technology Teacher
Middle & High School Technology Teacher (Grades 612) 20262027 School Year | Immediate Opening Position Summary Columbus Preparatory Academy (CPA) is seeking an enthusiastic, innovative, and student-centered Middle & High School Technology Teacher to provide engaging technology and computer science instruction to students in grades 612.
This position will teach High School Computer Principles, 8th Grade Technology, and 6th/7th Grade Technology, providing students with meaningful, hands-on learning experiences that build technology skills, computational thinking, problem-solving, creativity, and digital literacy.
Experience with Project Lead The Way (PLTW) curriculum and coursework is highly desirable.

Essential Responsibilities Instruction & Curriculum Plan and deliver engaging technology and computer science instruction for students in grades 612.
Teach High School Computer Principles, 8th Grade Technology, and 6th/7th Grade Technology courses.
Develop lessons that strengthen students' digital literacy, computational thinking, problem-solving, creativity, and technology skills.
Provide hands-on learning opportunities that allow students to apply technology concepts to real-world situations and projects.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of all students.
Integrate technology across subject areas and make meaningful cross-curricular connections when appropriate.
Maintain high academic and behavioral expectations while encouraging students to explore, create, collaborate, and problem-solve.
Complete Project Lead The Way training courses if not currently certified Classroom Environment Create a safe, welcoming, organized, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and responsible technology use.
Establish routines and procedures that promote student independence, collaboration, and appropriate use of technology.
Model and reinforce responsible digital citizenship and appropriate use of school technology and resources.
Maintain classroom technology, equipment, and instructional materials and communicate technology needs as appropriate.
Student Growth Assess student understanding and progress using a variety of formative and summative assessments, projects, and performance-based activities.
Provide timely and meaningful feedback that supports student growth and encourages perseverance and problem-solving.
Provide opportunities for students to demonstrate their learning through projects, presentations, and hands-on applications.
Encourage students to explore technology and computer science pathways and develop skills that support future academic and career opportunities.
