Server - Full-Time Department: DiningReports To: Hospitality ManagerLocation: Independent LivingEmployment Type: Full-TimePay Type: Non-Exempt / HourlySchedule: 10:00 AM-7:00 PMWeekend Requirement: Must be available to work every other weekend Job Overview We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and service-oriented Server to join our Dining team in our Independent Living community.

The Server is responsible for providing exceptional dining service to our residents and guests in a warm, welcoming, and respectful environment.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with older adults, demonstrates excellent customer service skills, and understands the importance of treating each resident with dignity, compassion, and respect.

This position requires strong attention to detail, teamwork, professionalism, and a commitment to creating a positive dining experience for every resident.

Essential Responsibilities Set up and break down all dining areas in a timely manner.

All dining areas must be fully set up at least 30 minutes before opening.

Ensure all silverware, glasses, and plates are clean, chip-free, properly maintained, and free of spots.

Maintain a clean, neat, and professional uniform throughout the shift.

Maintain thorough knowledge of all menus, including wine lists, and communicate daily specials provided by the Chefs.

Maintain a working knowledge of food ingredients, preparation methods, and common allergens for all menu items.

Remain present and attentive on the dining room floor throughout the shift.

Respond to residents' and guests' needs promptly, courteously, and professionally.

Anticipate residents' needs and take a proactive approach to resolving concerns or service issues.

Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation and back-of-house area at all times.

Scrape all plates and place dishes in the dish pit in an organized manner, including placing correct glasses in glass racks and stacking plates according to size and shape.

Follow all prescribed sanitation practices, procedures, and food-service standards.

Complete and maintain all required checklists and shift standards.

Adhere to the assigned work schedule.

If a schedule change is needed, notify management at least one week in advance whenever possible and actively assist in finding appropriate shift coverage.

Communicate effectively and professionally with residents, families, coworkers, vendors, visitors, and members of the general public.

Welcome and greet visitors in a friendly and helpful manner, including residents' families and friends, prospective residents and their families, referral sources, vendors, and regulatory representatives.

Answer phones appropriately and professionally in accordance with company and community standards.

Communicate professionally and cooperate with supervisors, managers, and all community personnel.

Prioritize resident safety, comfort, satisfaction, and dignity in all interactions.
