VIE - Methods Engineer - Uccle

Join Schneider Electric Belgium and play a key role in a major industrial transformation program.

As part of our digital Supply Chain roadmap and the introduction of a new Medium Voltage product range, our Local Adaptation Center in Belgium is deploying a strategic SAP S/4HANA migration, combined with the implementation of a standard Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to enhance operational performance, quality management, and digital traceability.

As a VIE Methods Engineer, you will contribute directly to this transformation, working in close collaboration with local operational teams and international support functions.
Your Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Strategic SAP S/4HANA Migration Project Leader and integrated within the site's Industrial Methods team, you will:


* Support the deployment of a standard MES solution for production management and performance monitoring.


* Lead the integration of a Quality module within the MES to enable end-to-end digital traceability across manufacturing processes.


* Design and optimize manufacturing methods and production systems, balancing efficiency, ergonomics, industrial capacity, and Lean principles.


* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Planning, Quality, Warehouse, IT, and Project Management.


* Develop and maintain operational procedures and work instructions.


* Participate in process design workshops to define target operating models ("To-Be" processes) and ensure alignment with SAP S/4HANA standards.

What We Are Looking For


* Master's Degree or Engineering Degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial IT, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.


* Initial experience through internships, apprenticeships in Industrial Methods, Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Industrial Digitalization, or related areas.


* Strong interest in digital technologies, industrial systems, and manufacturing transformation.


* Analytical mindset with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.


* Ability to work effectively in a dynamic international environment.


* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a willingness to work across multiple functions.


* Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.


* Previous exposure to Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) is considered a strong advantage.


* English: Professional working proficiency (required)


* Dutch: A plus
