Work You'll Do
As a Project Lead Integration Engineer II, you will provide political-military planning, policy analysis, engagement coordination, and senior-leader staff support.
The position supports planning and execution of regional engagements, senior-level meetings, official visits, partner interactions, and related policy and strategy activities across Oceania and the broader Pacific region.
Additionally, researches regional, political, economic, defense, and security developments; develops decision-support products; coordinates staffing across command, component, interagency, and external stakeholders; and helps synchronize engagement activities with U.S.
policy, defense posture, and regional objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Regional Planning and Policy Support
* Conduct research and analysis on Oceania political-military affairs, regional security developments, defense policy, partner relationships, and emerging issues affecting U.S.
interests.
* Track developments involving Australia, New Zealand, Pacific Island partners, and other relevant regional actors, as assigned.
* Assess the implications of regional events, policy changes, elections, leadership transitions, military developments, natural disasters, and security trends.
* Support development and maintenance of regional engagement plans, country plans, synchronization matrices, and planning calendars.
* Translate complex or rapidly changing information into concise findings, recommendations, decision points, and actions for senior leaders.
* Support integration of regional planning activities with broader U.S.
policy, theater strategy, defense posture, security cooperation, and engagement objectives.
* Identify potential policy, coordination, scheduling, resourcing, or stakeholder risks and elevate them to the appropriate government or contractor lead.
* Maintain awareness of relevant command guidance, policy documents, planning assumptions, and reporting requirements.
Senior Leader and Staff Product Development
* Draft and coordinate senior-leader-ready products, including Decision memoranda, Information papers, Executive summaries, briefing slides, talking points, Background papers, Country and partner overviews, meeting read-ahead materials, trip books, testimony support materials, After-action reports and recurring regional reports
* Develop concise recommendations that clearly identify the issue, operational or policy context, options, risks, and recommended way ahead.
