Software Engineer [Multiple Positions Available]

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design and maintain application delivery infrastructure across cloud and edge platforms.

Automate load balancing configurations and content delivery.

Deploy, operate, and support containerized applications on cloud infrastructure.

Monitor application health, analyze performance, and resolve issues for web and mobile applications.

Review logs and metrics to identify bottlenecks and optimize reliability and scalability.

Document operational procedures and create runbooks for deployments and incident response.

Collaborate with engineering and product teams on releases, changes, and incidents.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, IT Sr Developer, Lead Developer I, Senior Associate, Technical Lead - Software Engineering, Lead Engineer, Senior Project Specialist, or related occupation.

The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, IT Sr Developer, Lead Developer I, Senior Associate, Technical Lead - Software Engineering, Lead Engineer, Senior Project Specialist, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires five (5) years of experience with the following: Using the programming languages of Python or Java to build automation and tooling that integrate with vendor and SaaS APIs to orchestrate infrastructure workflows and reduce manual operations; Developing code with unit tests, error handling, and CI integration for deployment and operational tasks.

This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: Provisioning and managing EC2 compute, S3 storage, Route 53, and IAM identities and policies to support secure, reliable application operations; Implementing DNS records and routing policies in Route 53 aligned with multi-environment and failover requirements; Applying least-privilege IAM policies for services, roles, and users supporting application delivery.

This position requires two (2) years of experience with the following: Configuring and managing content delivery on Akamai, including creating and maintaining ION properties and Cloudlets; Configuring and managing Akamai Global Traffic Manager (GTM) for DNS-based traffic distribution and failover; Designing, implementing, and operating containerized applications using Kubernetes including cluster setup, scaling, and deployment pipelines; Configuring AWS Load Balancers with health checks, TLS termination, and routing rules to distribute traffic efficiently across services; Applying best practices for high availability, resilience, and cost optimization for con...
