Material Handler III: Chesapeake

The base hourly range for this role is $21.44 - $26.77.

Final salary will be based on experience.

Purpose and Scope of Job: Primarily responsible for loading, unloading, moving and stocking materials in the warehouse.

EEssential Functions (other duties may be assigned): Receive, unpack, check and store merchandise or materialsFill requisitions and ordersPack, crate and ship products and materials to departments or assembly linesDrive forklift, WAV (walk assist vehicle) or use pa;;et jack to move bulk products to the proper destination point.Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate powered industrial equipment.

Manual lifting will be required as part of regular daily work.Keep all direct work areas clean and well organized.

Actively practice a culture of 5S (Sort, Set and Order, Shine, Standardize and Sustain) in the warehouse.Ensure all safety & regulatory policies and procedures are implemented and maintained at all times.Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED.

Forklift experience General knowledge of warehouse proceduresThree (3) years of material handling experience.Any additional essential skills and/or knowledge as shown in the HRIS Career & Education > Skills section for incumbents holding this job title.
