Position Overview

Safety-minded, motivated, and high energy Project Manager to perform primary responsibilities of managing construction projects from start to finish.

They will maintain a keen knowledge of each project in their workload as a subcontractor and as a prime contractor.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:


* Verify cost estimates and work with Estimators to complete project handoff.


* Issue, execute and manage subcontracts as required with Contract Admins.


* Frequent project visits to maintain pulse of a project and attend project related meetings


* Maintain and manage accurate construction and paving schedules for projects managed.


* Articulate process of analyzing, tracking, and collecting project revenue on daily, weekly, and monthly basis.


* Ability to actively manage and communicate understanding of job cost performance.


* Working relationship with HMA Lab for requests regarding mix specifications and required documents for DOT and private projects and submitting them to project Owners.


* Perform post-build analysis of projects identifying key performance drivers and how they relate to the overall performance of the project.


* Drive efficiency and value changes in the field through recognition of project construction opportunities.


* Promote Safety and take active role in addressing concerns and advancing Safety on projects


* Performs other job related responsibilities and special projects as requested.

Other Requirements:


* Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.


* Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.


* Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.


* Report to the assigned job site ready to begin work at the designated start time.


* Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Manual of Safety Practices and Procedures.


* Strict adherence to Shelly Company policies and procedures as outlined in the Company Book of Policies.


* Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.


* Timely and regular attendance is an expectation of performance for all Shelly Company employees.
