Portfolio Valuation Consultant
Our Deloitte Strategy & Transactions (S&T) team helps guide clients through their most critical moments and transformational initiatives.
We offer comprehensive end-to-end support and advisory services, covering areas such as valuation modeling, cost optimization, restructuring, business design and transformation, infrastructure and real estate, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and sustainability.
The team works closely with clients at every stage of their journey, helping them navigate challenges, avoid financial pitfalls, and implement practical solutions before, during, and after major transformational projects or transactions creating lasting impact.
Are you interested in helping clients across the spectrum of asset managers and financial institutions address complex valuation, pricing, and credit questions? As a professional in our Portfolio Valuations practice, you'll work alongside experienced specialists to analyze illiquid and complex instruments, translate market and portfolio dynamics into defensible conclusions, and deliver audit-ready, decision-useful insights for stakeholders.
Work you'll do
As a Consultant on the portfolio valuation team, you will be responsible for:
* Performing independent valuation analyses for illiquid assets and complex financial instruments, with a focus on corporate credit, term loans, private debt, private equity, alternative investments and structured and securitized products
* Building, reviewing, and refining cash flow and valuation models, including documenting assumptions, limitations, and sensitivity analyses
* Preparing audit-ready valuation documentation and supporting financial reporting valuation needs for derivatives, debt instruments, and employee stock option plans
* Conducting credit and portfolio analysis, validating third-party manager reports and underlying data, and advising clients on valuation implications for regulatory, compliance, and stakeholder needs
* Advising clients on valuation implications for regulatory/compliance and other stakeholder needs, translating technical findings into clear, decision-useful insights
* Reviewing junior staff work, managing day-to-day tasks, and communicating status/risks to the engagement lead
