Customer Service Specialist (Public Transit Dispatcher)

Are you a people person who thrives in a fast-paced environment? Three Rivers Community Action is seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Customer Service Specialist (Dispatcher) to join our Transportation team.

In this role, you'll help coordinate rides, communicate with drivers, assist customers, and ensure reliable transportation services that connect people to work, school, medical appointments, and more.

About the Role As a Customer Service Specialist, you'll serve as a key point of contact for customers and drivers while helping manage daily transportation operations.

This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to stay organized while juggling multiple priorities throughout the day.

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week.

Hours fall within 5:15 a.m.

to 6:15 p.m., Monday through Friday, with rotating Saturday hours from 7:30 a.m.

to 4:00 p.m.

What You'll Do Coordinate daily transportation schedules and assignments Communicate with drivers regarding schedules, route changes, and customer needs Answer incoming calls and assist customers with transportation services Provide exceptional customer service in a professional and courteous manner Complete required documentation and administrative tasks Monitor transportation operations and help resolve issues as they arise Maintain confidentiality of sensitive customer information Work collaboratively with team members to ensure safe, reliable transportation services What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Exceptional customer service and communication skills Ability to use computers and learn software applications Experience working with a multi-line phone system Ability to read and navigate maps Ability to read, write, and speak English Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to maintain strict confidentiality Preferred Qualifications Fluency in a language other than English, especially Spanish or Somali One to two years of post-secondary education Compensation & Benefits Starting pay of $21.01 per hour Generous paid time off Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance and retirement match Why Three Rivers?
