Risk Manager

Reporting Line: This person will report to the Head Of Risk Management - CEE, Risk Management.

What you will do:


* Develop personal expertise in global commodity markets for natural gas, electricity, crude & fuel oils, carbon, and coal


* Investigate, identify and provide impact analysis of pertinent market information that will affect clients


* Developing specific hedging strategies for energy commodities utilizing all available contract or financial instruments for industrial and commercial end-users


* Performing various types of analyses to assist clients in determining risk appetite via customized strategies toward managing energy market risk


* Presenting market analysis and strategic directions to external clients


* Conducting monthly market meetings with clients and internal stakeholders


* Travel requirements: limited but possible

What we need from you:


* University diploma or degree (preferably in an analytical role)


* Fluent English (written and verbal); additional languages are an advantage


* 5 years + experience in a similar role

A successful candidate should have a proven track record in the following:


* Experience in energy commodity fundamentals including crude oil, fuels, natural gas, electric power applicable to Europe markets, with a demonstrated understanding of the application of financial instruments and derivatives


* Expert knowledge of hedging strategies


* A self-starter with the ability to also work in a team setting in developing information, strategies and solutions


* Ability to build collaborative and successful relationships across internal departments and geographies


* Ability to build collaborative and successful relationships with external stakeholders


* Ability to be well organized and capable of managing multiple deadlines with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail


* Proven ability to understand macro-economic trends and technical charting


* Experience presenting to senior level executives


* Excellent oral and written communication skills


* Energy contract procurement experience


* Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required
