Bar Manager

What is the job?
As Bar Manager, you’ll support the Bar Manager in leading daily bar operations to ensure exceptional beverage service, guest satisfaction and strong financial performance.

You’ll supervise the team, maintain operational standards and assist in achieving revenue and cost control targets.
Your day to day
People
•Assist in planning and supervising daily bar operations.
•Support in scheduling shifts and ensuring appropriate staffing levels.
•Train, coach and motivate bartenders and bar attendants.
•Conduct daily briefings and ensure clear communication within the team.
•Support performance management and recommend HR-related actions when required.
Guest Experience
•Ensure the bar area is clean, organized and fully stocked at all times.
•Monitor beverage preparation and presentation to maintain brand standards.
•Engage with guests to enhance their overall experience.
•Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally and promptly.
•Support implementation of promotions and special beverage menus.
Responsible Business
•Ensure compliance with liquor laws, health and safety regulations.
•Assist in inventory management and stock control procedures.
•Conduct regular stock checks and maintain accurate records.
•Prevent wastage, breakage and pilferage.
•Ensure proper storage and handling of beverages and bar supplies.
•Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
•May act as Manager on Duty in absence of Bar Manager.
Financial
•Support in preparing and monitoring the bar budget.
•Assist in controlling beverage cost, labour cost and operational expenses.
•Promote upselling initiatives to drive revenue growth.
•Ensure secure handling of financial transactions.
•Review sales reports and assist in identifying revenue opportunities.
