Description Vectorply, a world leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of high performance composite fabrics, is a privately-owned company with headquarters in Phenix City, AL.

Vectorply employs approximately 200 employees between administration, sales and production and produces more that 350 distinctive styles of reinforcement fabrics for a wide variety of composites applications.

Due to continued growth, we are hiring Electro-Mechanical Technicians to join our 1st Shift (7am - 3pm) and 3rd shift (11pm - 7am) teams.

Overtime will be available.

Job Summary: This position will be responsible for improving the overall operating functions of the manufacturing machines to achieve the desired goals.

This will include preventative maintenance programs, machine upgrades to enable difficult production orders to be more efficient, diagnostic/troubleshooting ability to resolve downtime and quality issues and overall machine efficiency improvements.

Duties and Responsibilities: Improve the machinery ability to run difficult products more efficiently.Improve the Plant's weekly PM program making it more effective and efficient.Trouble shoot electrical and mechanical issues on manufacturing machinery and take corrective actions with a sense of urgency.Assists Engineering in major projects and machine overhauls.Improve the machinery capability in the reduction of set-up time and difficulty.

Make the machinery simpler to operate.Takes after hour emergency phone calls for machine breakdowns.
