Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, visitors, and staff.

This role is essential to ensuring our facility remains welcoming, sanitary, and compliant with healthcare standards.
Essential Duties


* Clean and maintain public and common areas, including lobbies, restrooms, drinking fountains, and floors


* Ensure resident rooms and bathrooms are cleaned and sanitized regularly


* Wipe down handrails to keep them free of dust and debris


* Remove dirt, dust, and food from walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, towel bars, and dispensers


* Empty trash cans and replace liners as needed


* Sweep and mop floors throughout the facility


* Follow safety protocols, including the use of caution signage and proper chemical storage


* Operate cleaning equipment and use supplies according to manufacturer instructions


* Keep housekeeping carts, equipment, and storage areas clean, organized, and sanitary


* Report resident safety concerns immediately to the Director of Housekeeping, Administrator, or Director of Nursing


* Notify the Director of Housekeeping when supplies need replenishment


* Demonstrate excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude


* Manage time effectively and complete tasks efficiently


* Work independently and as part of a team to meet facility cleanliness standards

Qualifications


* High school diploma or equivalent preferred


* Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is a plus


* Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines


* Strong attention to detail and cleanliness


* Good communication and interpersonal skills


* Dependable, organized, and team-oriented
