As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within Consumer & Community Banking, you will be a vital member of an agile team dedicated to enhancing, building, and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner.

Job Responsibilities


* Provide technical leadership and day-to-day support to business partners, contractors, and vendors.


* Design and build secure, production-grade mobile solutions, making key decisions on architecture, functionality, and operations.


* Develop and maintain iOS applications using Swift, SwiftUI, and Objective-C.


* Develop and maintain Android applications using Java and Kotlin.


* Review, debug, and improve code written by self and others to ensure quality and maintainability.


* Optimize and validate performance across devices (iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Android) and form factors.


* Deliver complex front-end implementations for large-scale mobile applications, including automated testing.


* Partner with UX/design teams to prototype and implement features that enhance user experience.


* Drive reliability, scalability, and delivery excellence by applying Agile practices (Scrum/Continuous Delivery) and supporting SRE practices


* Drives adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices across teams to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes (e.g., AI-assisted code review/refactoring, test acceleration, release readiness, incident/root-cause analysis), while establishing measurable validation standards (secure coding, peer review, automated testing) and promoting reuse of proven patterns and automation within the SDLC/TLM toolchain.


* Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including approved AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation at scale.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills


* Formal training or certification in software engineering and 5+ years of applied experience.


* Experience across system design, application development, testing, and operational stability/support.


* Proficiency in at least one mobile-relevant programming language.


* Strong knowledge of iOS (Swift/Objective-C, UIKit/Cocoa) and/or Android (Java/Kotlin) frameworks.


* Familiarity with iOS architectural/design patterns (e.g., MVVM, MVC, MVP, VIPER).


* Experience integrating native device capabilities (Camera, Push Notifications, GPS, CoreML, VisionKit).
