Maintenance Mechanic
Maintenance Mechanic We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Maintenance Mechanic to join our team.
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for ensuring the reliability and optimal performance of machinery and equipment in a fabrication and foundry environment.
This role involves inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
The Maintenance Mechanic plays a critical role in minimizing downtime, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring completion of customer orders in a timely manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain machinery like lathes, CNC machines, welding units, shears, and presses.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
Maintain conveyors and pouring systems.
Service air filtration and ventilation systems to manage hazardous dust and fumes.
Ensure proper operation of exhaust fans and dust collectors.
Maintain pneumatic tools.
Conduct regular checks on safety systems like heat shields, temperature sensors, and cooling systems.
Maintain forklifts, hoists, and conveyors used for transporting raw materials and finished products.
Replace worn-out parts such as bearings, belts, or motors.
Respond quickly to equipment malfunctions to minimize production downtime.
Optimize machine settings for better output and efficiency.
Ensure machines meet safety standards and that guards, locks, and emergency systems function correctly.
Communicate with department supervisors and leads regarding the status of work orders
