Accounting Assistant - Entry Level

This individual should be professional, reliable, flexible and proactive.

This is an in office position.

Office ours are Monday - Friday from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm.

Attendance and punctuality are key.

Great customer service skills are a must as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and Word.

Must be adept at learning new computer software.

Experience in Accounts Payable/Receivable is preferred but not required.

The essential duties and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to: Daily processing of payables and receivables (check, verify and process invoices)Daily posting of auto payments invoicesHelp maintaining vendor relationshipsMonthly processing of contract charges (prepare, maintain and file)Answering phones and returning voicemail messages.Investigating questionable dataProcessing 1099s at end of yearSpecial projects and other administrative support duties as needed Skills and Knowledge: Excellent computer skills, specifically Word and Xcel.Comfortable learning proprietary softwarePositive and friendly attitudeAble to multi-task, work as a team player and work independentlyMust have attention to detail and organization skillsBackground in AP/AR is a plus
