Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Per Diem
New Jersey Respiratory Associates (NJRA) is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to support our PulmonaryLink program in the Brownwood, TX area.
PulmonaryLink is a specialized respiratory program designed to bring advanced pulmonary care into skilled nursing and post-acute settings.
This role focuses on supporting patients with complex respiratory conditions through proactive care, monitoring, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary clinical team.
Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in accordance with established care plans Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the clinical team Support patients with respiratory conditions including tracheostomies and chronic respiratory disease Assist with implementation of pulmonary care plans and interventions Administer medications and treatments as prescribed Collaborate with respiratory therapists, nurse practitioners, and physicians Maintain accurate and timely documentation Participate in interdisciplinary care coordination and patient rounding Qualifications Active LVN license in the state of Texas Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or post-acute settings preferred Experience with respiratory or ventilator patients is a plus Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and within a team environment Work Environment & Requirements Work performed across one or more facilities within the Brownwood area Ability to travel locally as needed Ability to stand, walk, and assist patients throughout the shift Ability to lift up to 50 pound Physical and Emotional Demands: Must maintain good physical and emotional health to perform duties effectively.
Requires the ability to understand and communicate clearly with staff, residents, and families.
Must be able to lift over 50 pounds and tolerate constant walking, standing, and sitting throughout the shift.
Exposure Risks: May be exposed to blood and body fluids during normal work routines.
Must follow OSHA standards and use universal precautions at all times.
Working Conditions: Work hours are based on the needs of the residents and the facility.
Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
