Senior Test Engineer / Senior Consultant

Work you'll do/Responsibilities
As a Senior Consultant at Deloitte, you will perform test automation and quality engineering initiatives for a healthcare insurance enterprise.

Scope covers functional, cross-browser UI, and backend/database validation across the SDLC, including batch processing flows and backend data validation.

Objective is to establish scalable, maintainable automation coverage (Selenium/Playwright, Page Object Model) integrated into CI/CD to support reliable, repeatable release validation for a healthcare industry client's consumer-facing platform.


* Design and Execute Test Strategies


* Develop comprehensive test plans and automation strategy to assess application quality across functional, API, UI, and end-to-end flows.


* Design and implement test scenarios simulating real-world transaction health insurance use cases.


* Mentor team members


* Provide guidance and support to QA engineers on automation framework design and best practices.


* Share best practices in test automation, backend validation, and troubleshooting.


* Collaboration with Stakeholders


* Work closely with developers, architects, and system administrators to identify functional and integration defects.


* Communicate test findings, release readiness, and go/no-go recommendations to leadership for informed decision-making.


* Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from various functional and / or technical teams, including escalating any matters that require additional attention and consideration from engagement management.
