Position Summary

As a Dietary Aide, you will assist with meal preparation, service, and kitchen operations while maintaining a clean and sanitary environment.

Your role ensures residents receive meals that meet their dietary needs in a safe and welcoming setting.

Key Responsibilities


* Set up and distribute meal trays according to dietary guidelines


* Assist with meal service and food preparation


* Clear trays, wash dishes, and operate the dishwasher


* Monitor and record dishwasher temperature and sanitation levels


* Prepare snacks and nourishments


* Sweep, mop, and maintain kitchen and dining areas


* Clean kitchen surfaces, equipment, and storage areas


* Store food and supplies safely and neatly


* Remove trash and maintain cleanliness throughout shift


* Follow all food safety and infection control procedures


* Assist the cook and dietary supervisor as needed

Qualifications


* Must be 18 years of age or older


* Reliable transportation required


* High school diploma or equivalent preferred


* Experience in a healthcare or food service setting preferred


* Must obtain and maintain a Food Handler's Certificate


* Strong teamwork and communication skills


* Compassion for the geriatric population
