In this role, you will help create and lead engaging activities that enhance the quality of life, social engagement, and emotional well-being of our residents.

Position Details


* Position: Activity Assistant


* Status: Part-Time


* Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour


* Location: Medical Hill Healthcare Center

Responsibilities


* Assist in planning, organizing, and facilitating recreational, social, educational, and therapeutic activities for residents.


* Encourage resident participation and engagement in scheduled programs.


* Set up and clean up activity areas before and after events.


* Escort residents to and from activities as needed.


* Support holiday celebrations, special events, and community outings.


* Maintain activity supplies and equipment.


* Document resident attendance and participation.


* Foster a positive, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all residents.

Qualifications


* High school diploma or equivalent preferred.


* Previous experience working with seniors, healthcare, recreation, or activities programs is a plus.


* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


* Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic personality.


* Ability to assist residents with varying levels of mobility and cognitive function.
