As the Service Delivery Manager for Observability, you will be a key member of the Global IT Operations team.
You will be responsible for leading the continuous improvement of our monitoring platforms and ensuring their alignment with our overall strategy.
You will lead initiatives that position these tools not just as operational aids, but as strategic enablers for automation, visibility, compliance, providing transparency, traceability, and assurance across all service lines.
In this role, you will partner with platform owners and technical teams to mature Elanco’s monitoring capabilities, ensuring they are efficient, scalable, and audit-ready.
Your Responsibilities:
Delivery and Planning
* Drive continuous improvement by leading the planning and project management of initiatives - primarily focused on monitoring and observability, while also supporting other operational projects as needed
* Collaborate with TechOps service domains, application teams, and other business stakeholders to understand and translate business needs into actionable requirements for monitoring, logging, and Digital Employee Experience toolsets.
* Host day-to-day meetings across the team (planning meetings, stand-ups, backlog reviews, status updates, retrospectives).
* Manage the creation, review, and approval of project documentation (charters, user stories, designs, plans, communications, release notes, testing).
* Administer all work within project management tools (currently Monday.com and ServiceNow) and share best practices to improve delivery.
* Manage risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies across the team.
* Take ownership of issues and work with the right people to resolve them.
* Facilitate commercial activities (e.g., creating SoWs, change requests).
Stakeholder & Communications Management
* Communicate effectively to different audiences (immediate team, senior leaders, end users).
* Collaborate with IT and Business stakeholders to plan activities, changes, and deployments.
