Pharmacy Intern - Express Scripts - Remote (Coverage Review)

As an Intern within Coverage Review Operations, you'll be responsible for reviewing if coverage can be granted for a medication based on guidelines established by each particular plan.

You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with Pharmacists, Nurses, and Medical Directors in your department and across the business-and learn from some of our brightest and most innovative colleagues and leaders.

Expectations of Intern


* Utilizes multiple systems and other clinical resources to research information


* Applies patient assessment skills to provide pharmacists and medical directors key information to aid in their reviews


* Works and maneuvers within a queue system that prioritizes clinical reviews


* Works and collaborates with a multi-disciplinary clinical team to provide a customer centric experience

Qualifications


* Must be currently enrolled in a PharmD program with a 3.0 GPA


* Active intern license in good standing


* Currently enrolled in ACPE accredited college of pharmacy


* Ideal candidate has an interest in Managed Care, Pharmacy Benefit Processes


* Retail pharmacy experience preferred


* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Excel


* Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills


* Work collaboratively with cross-functional partners


* Ability to focus on results, even under tough circumstances and/or a changing environment


* Relate openly and comfortably with diverse groups of people across all levels of the organization


* Ability to adapt approach and demeanor in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations


* Self-starter who is eager to learn and acquire new skills

Schedule


* Available to work 20 hours per week


* Opportunities to work up to 40 hours during breaks per business need


* This role is remote (work from home) from a U.S.

location
