Shop Foreperson

Shop Foreperson - What Will You Do?


* Receive repair requests and create work orders.


* Perform equipment repair diagnostics, refer to work order history, and maintain total cost of the life cycle of equipment based on repair history.


* Engage subcontractors as needed.


* Ensure that vehicles are regularly maintained and that unscheduled maintenance issues are promptly addressed.


* Implement vehicle cleaning, maintenance and inspection policies.


* Train staff and monitor production and performance.


* Maintain contact with area safety manager.


* Additional duties as necessary.


* Learn the ins and outs of roadway construction and paving.

Requirements - Who Are We Looking For?


* 5+ years of general experience in fleet equipment maintenance required, with a minimum of 1-2 years of managerial experience.


* Dealership level training on electrical diagnostics and/or technical/trade school degree preferred.


* Caterpillar Engine Diagnostic Tools experience preferred.


* Valid driver’s license (Class A or B CDL preferred) and meets NESL’s driving standards.


* Positive attitude and willingness to grow and learn.

* High School Diploma/GED.
