Safety Manager

Safety Manager Company: Star Roofing Location: Phoenix, AZ Reports To: National Director of Safety Position Summary Star Roofing is seeking an experienced and proactive Safety Manager to oversee and enhance our company-wide safety program.

This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with all OSHA and regulatory requirements while promoting a strong culture of safety across all job sites.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction safety, strong communication skills, and the ability to partner with field and office teams to drive continuous improvement in safety performance.

Key Responsibilities Safety Program Management Develop, implement, and maintain company safety policies and proceduresEnsure compliance with OSHA, state, and local regulationsContinuously evaluate and improve safety programs Field Operations Support Conduct routine job site inspections and safety auditsWork closely with Superintendents, Project Managers, and field teamsIdentify hazards and implement corrective actions Training & Education Lead safety training programs (OSHA, fall protection, PPE, equipment use)Facilitate new hire safety onboardingConduct toolbox talks and safety meetings Incident Investigation & Reporting Investigate accidents, incidents, and near missesPrepare reports and recommend preventative actionsTrack safety metrics and analyze trends Compliance & Documentation Maintain OSHA logs (300, 301, etc.) and training recordsEnsure proper documentation for auditsServe as the main contact for regulatory agencies Risk & Claims Management Support workers compensation and claims processesPartner with HR and leadership on risk mitigationAssist with return-to-work programs Qualifications Required 5+ years of safety experience in construction or roofingStrong knowledge of OSHA regulationsExperience with inspections, audits, and investigations Preferred OSHA 30 or 500 certificationCHST, CSP, or similar certificationsMulti-site experienceBilingual (English/Spanish) a plus Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and communication skillsAbility to work with field and office teamsDetail-oriented with strong documentation abilitiesProactive and solutions-focused Work Environment Frequent travel to job sitesCombination of field and office workExposure to construction conditions Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experienceHealth, dental, and vision benefitsPaid time off and holidaysGrowth opportunities Why Join Star Roofing Growing and established companyStrong team-oriented cultureOpportunity to make a direct impact on safety and operations
