EPCOM Power is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator - Repowering & Restoration to support the continued growth of our Solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Repowering and Restoration business.

This role is responsible for developing accurate, comprehensive project estimates for complex retrofit, upgrade, repowering, and restoration projects across utility-scale renewable energy facilities.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in electrical construction estimating, preferably within an electrical contractor, EPC, or renewable energy environment.

This individual will leverage industry-standard estimating tools, field execution knowledge, labor productivity data, and market intelligence to develop detailed cost models, evaluate project risks, and support proposal development efforts.

This position is preferably based in Scottsdale, AZ, Bedminster, NJ, Katy, TX, or Pleasanton, CA, with remote consideration available.

Approximately 10% travel is required for customer meetings and site visits.

What You Will Do


* Review engineering documentation, design packages, one-line diagrams, bills of material (BOMs), and project specifications to develop accurate estimates for solar and BESS repowering, restoration, and retrofit projects.


* Develop detailed bottoms-up cost estimates for labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, rentals, mobilization, and other project costs.


* Review as-built documentation and perform quantity takeoffs for restoration and brownfield upgrade projects.


* Perform electrical takeoffs from engineering design packages and field documentation.


* Develop estimate assumptions, exclusions, allowances, escalation factors, and contingency strategies to appropriately manage commercial risk.


* Partner with project development, engineering, procurement, and construction teams to validate scope assumptions and identify project risks prior to proposal submission.


* Develop and maintain material, equipment, labor, and productivity databases by partnering with procurement and execution teams.


* Evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing to ensure competitive and accurate project cost models.


* Conduct site visits and collaborate with subject matter experts to assess existing conditions and develop accurate project scopes and cost estimates.
