Job Title: Warehouse Manager

DHL Global Forwarding (DGF) manages the flow of goods and information across a customer's global supply chain utilizing air/ocean/ground transportation, customs brokerage services, and dedicated warehousing/distribution centers.  We are part of Deutsche Post DHL, the world’s leading logistics provider with operations in over 220 countries. 

We have an outstanding career opportunity for a Warehouse Manager in our San Diego, CA facility.
 

Responsibilities:


* Assumes responsibility for good working practices, safety, and security for customer inventory


* Develops, recommends, and implements process and procedure improvements for service delivery to the customer


* Provides customized solutions for customers in the areas of warehousing, inventory control & analysis, transportation, and technical support


* Responsible for the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of the product and ensures budget targets are met


* Supervises staff, responsible for hiring, coaching, training, and developing subordinate staff


* Assigns work, sets completion dates, reviews work, and manages performance in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and performance management processes


* Collaborates with senior management to deliver strategic business results.

Builds collaborative working relationships across groups


* Performs Monthly QBR’s for our cross dock customers.


* Ensure billing is completed before end of the month.


* Collaboration with cross border solutions team to ensure ALL orders are loaded based on customer final ship list.


* Ensure all product entering the warehouse is scanned, assigned warehouse location and inventory is kept up to date.


* Perform cycle counts


* Monthly customer visits to ensure customer service and expectations are being met.


* Any other project assigned on ad hoc basis

 

Skills & Qualifications:


* Must have experience working in a Union environment


* Minimum 5 years supervisory or management experience


* Strong interpersonal and communication skills


* Extensive knowledge of the freight forwarding industry is a plus


* Familiarity with DOT and HAZ regulations


* Logistics and/or military experience is preferred


* Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)


* Familiar with SAP


* BA/BS Preferred

 

Pay Range: $68,722.50 - $91,630.00+ (Based on Experience)
