DESCRIPTION

Michael Baker is seeking a Senior Construction Inspector to lead our dynamic construction services team in Philadelphia! This is a high-impact role where you'll be at the forefront of delivering exceptional infrastructure projects for our valued clients.

The Senior Inspector will play a critical role in ensuring that construction projects across the City of Philadelphia meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES


* Lead and manage a team of construction inspectors, overseeing daily assignments, schedules, and performance.


* Ensure quality and compliance by reviewing field conditions, verifying construction locations, and performing precise measurements.


* Drive project success through detailed documentation, oversight of progress payments, and coordination with contractors and client representatives.


* Provide expert insight by identifying constructability issues, interpreting plans and specifications, and recommending solutions.


* Maintain excellence in reporting, punch list creation, and digital documentation using PennDOT PSA and other client platforms.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS


* High School Diploma (or equivalent)


* 10+ years of experience in construction inspection, with proven leadership in field operations


* Familiarity with City of Philadelphia and PennDOT inspection and documentation procedures


* Strong communication skills and the ability to interpret complex plans and specifications


* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and digital document control platforms


* Flexibility to work various shifts as needed

COMPENSATION

The approximate compensation range for this position is $35/hr - $55/hr.

This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.

Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
