Position Summary

The Manager of Medical Economics will analyze healthcare cost, utilization, and quality data to evaluate performance our various value-based contracts.

They will lead a team of analysist to help provide financial modeling, reporting, and insights to support provider groups, clinical teams, and leadership in driving improved outcomes and reduced costs.

This role is critical in ensuring the organization succeeds in our value based arrangements by identifying opportunities for savings and quality improvement.

Position Duties

Outline and implement key cost drives as part of outcome measurement to address clinical and financial risk.

Support deliverables out of the trends working groups and medical management committees.

In addition to developing reporting to monitor SWHR and market cost data and trends to determine potential external impacts or opportunities for SWHR in its full risk arrangements and other gainshare arrangements.

Design and support standardization of reports using multiple external data sets.

Meet with functional teams to outline the requirements and level of support needed.

And assess complexity of tasks and projects and develop timeline and scope documents.

Follow guidance of Director for standards of reporting, outcomes, and peer reviewing methodologies.

And perform validation process of report or model requirements.

Education
Bachelor's Degree Math, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science, or a related field required

Experience
5 years progressively responsible, related experience to include at least one (1) year of supervisory capacity required
Experience with database applications (e.g.

Access, SAS/SQL.VBA) preferred
Experience with dashboard/reporting applications (e.g.

Tableau, Power BI) preferred
