Your Role: Manufacturing Solution Architect

As a Manufacturing Solution Architect within Elanco IT, you will help shape the digital transformation of Elanco’s global manufacturing operations.

You will lead the adoption of modern manufacturing IT paradigms—such as EDGE computing, IT/OT convergence, and Unified Namespace (UNS) strategies—to enable real-time data orchestration and smart factory capabilities.

In this highly visible role, you will influence architectural design, technology investment, and product roadmaps while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture principles and standards.

Your Responsibilities:


* Define and advance the technical vision and roadmap for Elanco’s manufacturing product group, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture.


* Architect and implement IT/OT integrated solutions leveraging EDGE and fog computing for latency-sensitive operations.


* Design and deploy architectures connecting OT systems (PLCs, SCADA) with IT platforms using MQTT and UNS frameworks.


* Partner with Product Managers and Principal Engineers to deliver ready-to-build solutions that drive business outcomes.


* Apply emerging technologies such as AI, IIoT, and digital twins to enhance manufacturing efficiency, predictive maintenance, and real-time analytics.

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):


* Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.


* Experience: Minimum of 5 years architecting and delivering enterprise IT systems.



* Key Skills:
+ Proven experience integrating OT systems with cloud-native platforms and implementing IIoT solutions in regulated manufacturing environments.
+ Strong technical foundation with hands-on experience across MES, SAP, and manufacturing SaaS ecosystems (e.g., Tulip, PAS-X, Veeva).
+ Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly to diverse stakeholders and influence strategic technology decisions.
