Pacific Coast Post Acute (PCPA) is a short-term rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility located in beautiful Monterey County, just 30 minutes from the Monterey Bay.
As a premiere teaching facility for post-acute care, PCPA offers a dynamic environment with exposure to memory care and a growing outpatient program.

Our state-of-the-art facility features one of the largest gyms in a post-acute setting, including a dedicated ADL area with a functional kitchen, washer/dryer, and tub/shower combination.
Job Summary
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will be a key member of our rehabilitation team, responsible for providing comprehensive speech and language services to residents.
The SLP will assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
This role is crucial for improving the quality of life for our residents by helping them regain their independence and communicative abilities.
Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on resident needs and goals.
* Provide skilled therapeutic interventions for speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
* Manage and treat dysphagia (swallowing disorders), including providing appropriate therapy and recommending diet modifications.
* Document resident progress accurately and in a timely manner, and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team.
* Educate residents, families, and staff on communication strategies and compensatory techniques.
* Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
* Participate in program development and departmental meetings.
Qualifications
* Current state licensure or in the process of obtaining appropriate state licensure.
