Senior Director of Federal Pharmacy Clinical Consulting -

TheSenior Director of Federal Pharmacy Clinical Consulting provides leadership and direction for leading strategic pharmacy consulting initiatives for federal healthcare clients, including theDepartment of Defense (DoD),Defense Health Agency (DHA),World Trade Center, and VA Community Care Network (VA CCN) network.

The role involves long-term planning to grow and retain Evernorth Federal Service (EFS) clients and build customer relationships, articulating the value of Evernorth clinical products and services, and participating in key client meetings.

Essential Functions


* Serve as primary Clinical Thought Leader for all EFS Clients; responsible for building and maintaining key relationships, providing strategic market guidance to ensure Express Scripts, PBS is a trusted advisor, developing common strategies to achieve company goals, ensuring client expectations and deliverables are met and managing/resolving escalated client concerns.


* Lead a virtual clinical team, ensuring client satisfaction, retention and growth.

Lead teams in managing, developing and retaining talent, ensuring high levels of engagement, productivity and effective client management.


* Partner with other critical leadership teams across the PBS and Evernorth organization to include, but not limited to Coverage Review Department, Clinical Operations, Pharmacy (Accredo and Express-Scripts), and Legal and Compliance.


* Drive integration of commercial best practices and digital health solutions into EFS operations.

Qualifications & Experience


* 12 years of relevant work experience; Pharmacy degree required


* Experience with DHA, VA, and/or Federal Healthcare systems preferred


* Demonstrated initiative, independent thinker and worker


* Strong people leader with track record of coaching teams to be independent and leaders/SMEs in their assigned functions


* Strong aptitude for data & finance a plus


* Ability to develop hypotheses and conclusions while identifying assumptions


* Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written


* Ability to influence at all organizational levels including Vice President, SVP, and C-Suite


* Advanced problem-solving skills


* Ability to work cross-functionally to define, scope, analyze and resolve strategic issues


* Travel up to 25%
