Data Science | 2026 Summer Internship Program

Program Overview:

Verisk's Summer Internship Program is designed to provide you with real work experience, professional development, and networking opportunities.

This is a full-time (40 hours/ week) paid internship program spanning ten weeks from June through August 2026.

Participation in the internship program requires that you are located near your assigned office as the program is a hybrid work schedule, requiring you to be in the office at least 2 days per week.

Verisk is a leading data analytics provider serving customers in insurance.

Our team of nearly 7,000 helps customers make crucial decisions every day about risk-with greater precision, efficiency, and discipline.

Should you perform well in the internship, you may receive an offer to join our full-time Data Science Excellence Program (DSEP) following graduation.

As DSEP is a rotational program, we highly suggest that you apply to this internship if you are open to future relocation.

Recruitment Process:

Successful candidates will be invited to a two-stage interview process including:
1.

Technical Assessment: Should your profile be a match, we will ask you to complete a HackerRank technical assessment.

In the assessment, you'll have an opportunity to code in a language of your choice, and also answer some basic multiple-choice questions.

This will help us understand how you approach and solve technical challenges.

During this assessment, you'll also have an opportunity to tell us more about your location and job interests.
2.

Final Live Virtual Interview: During this round, you'll speak with members of our technical recruitment committee, who represent all our businesses across the US.

At this point, we know you have the technical skills to succeed at Verisk and have the passion for this field.

In this final round, it's all about determining if you are the right fit for Verisk, and Verisk is the right fit for you.

Offer: Our committee will then meet and discuss your candidacy.

We will discuss your location, industry, and technical interests, as well as your ability to add to our culture at Verisk.

If we extend you an offer, we will advise you as to the business and location where we are placing you.

What You Could Learn:

As a Data Science Intern, you'll receive hands-on analytics experience doing everything from data wrangling, querying, modeling, visualizing, and productizing as you work in business areas including insurance, finance, energy, and climate.
