Director of HSSE
Lynden Incorporated is seeking a Director of Health, Safety, Security & Environmental (HSSE) to work as part of our SeaTac based team. You will oversee and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies to develop and implement HSSE programs.
This position is not safety sensitive.

What you will be doing:
* Develop, implement, and enforce Lynden’s integrated Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental programs, policies, and procedures to promote occupational safety and prevent workplace accidents. Measure effectiveness of these programs and work towards continuous improvement in performance.
* Ensure compliance with relevant HSSE regulations and keep abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization.
This includes compliance with standards set by regulatory agencies as well as industry-specific standards and client-specific requirements.
* Perform audits and inspections to identify potential HSSE hazards across all modes of transportation.
* Oversee Lynden’s drugs and alcohol program ("Fit-For-Work"), including serving as the Designated Employee Representative (DER) for DOT.
* Engage in incident investigations and near-miss to determine root causes, develop preventative measures, and prepare reports for senior management.
* Analyze accident data to identify trends and implement preventative measures.
What we need from you (minimum requirements):
* Minimum of four years facilitating occupational health, safety and environmental management, or a related field required.
* Associates degree and/or certified safety professional preferred.
* Familiarity with OSHA and DOT regulations and experience interpreting regulations and legal requirements.
Preference if you also have:
* Experience with a Safety Management System (SMS).
Origami SMS a plus.
* Prior experience managing direct reports.
* The ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
