Do you have a passion for helping people build strength, flexibility, and balance through mindful movement? The Salem YMCA is seeking a Mat Pilates Instructor to lead safe, engaging, and effective classes for our members.

Mat Pilates is a no-equipment, full-body workout performed on a mat, emphasizing controlled movements, core strength, posture, and coordination.

Our ideal candidate will create a welcoming environment where participants of all levels feel supported, challenged, and inspired.
What You'll Do:


* Lead group Mat Pilates classes that are safe, engaging, and inclusive for all levels.


* Provide modifications and progressions to meet participants' needs.


* Educate participants on proper form and technique to ensure safety and effectiveness.


* Build positive relationships and foster a sense of community within the class.


* Promote other YMCA programs and services that support healthy living.

What We're Looking For:


* Certification in Pilates instruction (Mat Pilates focus strongly preferred).


* Experience teaching group fitness or Pilates classes in a wellness or fitness setting.


* Strong communication and motivational skills.


* Ability to connect with participants of all ages and abilities.


* Commitment to the YMCA mission of promoting health and well-being for all.

Qualifications



* Must be 18 years or older


* Consistent weekend availability


* Must have currentPilates certification
